SAP History and Evolution- The acronym SAP stands for System, applications and products in data processing services. SAP is the ownership product of the German Company SAP AG. Five ex IBM workers found SAP and the names of the employees were Dietmar Hopp, Klaus Tschira, Hans-Werner Hector, Hasso Plattner and Claus Wellenreuther. The company was started as a private partnership under the German System in 1972 . The company got its first client as a chemical company based at German. They created the mainframe programs for payroll and accounting processes. They introduced their first commercial solution in 1973 based on the three tier systems like SAP R1, SAP R2 and SAP R3 for tier 1, tier2 and tier 3 respectively.
